Educational
All of our tour products are strongly linked to the Ontario elementary and secondary school curriculums. These connections cover a variety of subjects including History, English/French, Drama, Civics and Canadian Law. Many of our tour guides are in the process of becoming teachers themselves.
Experiential
Getting out of the classroom is an incredible educational opportunity. Our tours immerse students into an experience that combines historical storytelling with a real sense of time and place. Whether it is walking Death Row in the old Ottawa Jail, standing atop one of Kingston’s many hidden burial grounds, or hearing the strange reports from the home of Toronto’s first mayor, a Haunted Walk is a unique experience that your students will never forget.
Proponents of experiential learning say that it helps to motivate learners because it involves them more deeply and extensively in the learning process: rather than being passive recipients of a “product” that the instructor is delivering, they actively engage with the content, the instructor, their peers, and themselves in an on going process of meaningful discovery.
Inspirational
Many of our tour guides first experienced a Haunted Walk as part of a class trip. After 24 years of educational adventures, we can’t tell you how amazing it feels to hear that students have sought out jobs with us because of the memorable experience they had on our educational tours.
Flexible & Adaptable
We offer daytime and evening educational tours to suit the needs of your group in both official languages. Whenever possible, our tours are fully accessible so that every student can take part and enjoy the experience.
Affordable
We understand the financial challenges teachers face when organizing a class trip. Educational groups receive huge discounts (up to 50% off a regular adult ticket)! Experiences from $12.75 per student. We also offer 1 complimentary admission for teachers and supervisors for every 10 paying students.
