Social Media/Marketing Coordinator

What’s the position?

The Social Media Coordinator will assist the Creative Director with all aspects of online marketing including:

  • Creating, sourcing, organizing and posting digital media assets and other content.
  • Coordinating photography and video sessions with other members of the team (including at partner sites).
  • Monitoring our social media channels and providing fast, friendly and spooky responses to our followers.

Who should apply?

This position is well-suited for emerging professionals with an interest in entrepreneurism, tourism, heritage, museum studies, art, marketing, and/or sales. The job will be rewarding, fun and provide practical career-related experience under the mentorship of the Creative Director.

Requirements

Candidates must be Canadian Summer Jobs program eligible: 30 years of age or younger, and a permanent Canadian resident, citizen, or refugee, living in the GTA.

Season

Full-time from May to October, with the possibility of reducing to part-time hours in September if returning to school. Continuing part-time hours may be available over the winter.

Hours per week

35 hours / week

Rate of pay

$18-$20 / hour

Work hours

Somewhat flexible. The position will be mostly working from home while occasionally being on-site to take photos/videos of tours and tour guides.

  • A mature, professional and positive attitude.
  • An abundance of diplomacy and tact.
  • A willingness to learn and follow a set of standards.
  • An ability to work and contribute ideas as part of a team.
  • A creative & entrepreneurial spirit (pun intended).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
  • Bilingualism will be considered a strong asset.
