What makes the Mill of Kintail a great place to investigate?
- It is an extremely active location. Phantoms of Yore has conducted several investigation at the property and they never fail to disappoint. Be sure to watch the video below and read our blog post to learn more about the strange happenings.
- The investigation will take place in 3 different buildings: the historic Grist Mill, a 19th century Gate House and...a creepy cabin in the woods! Activity has been reported on the grounds since it opened to the public, including: doors opening, closing and locking, furniture moving in the night, unseen footsteps, motion sensors being triggering and lights that have a mind of their own!
- Former Prime Minister William Lyon Mackeznie King did partake in séances while visiting the Mill. As we know from our tours at the MacKenzie King Estate, and our Haunting at Laurier House, the places where King held seances always seem to a special energy and eerie feel.
- Some believe it is the spirits of previous owners Robert and Ethel McKenzie that haunt the Mill. Robert sculpted in his studio and is often still heard working away there today. Ethel was an excellent pianist, and her piano is know to unexpectedly play. Others believe there is a more restless spirit present which has been captured in the Gate House during EVP sessions.
- With a max of 6 investigators per departure time, it will be the ultimate small group experience with lots of thrills.
- Part of the proceeds from every ticket sold go to the preservation and restoration of this incredible site.
Highlights from previous investigations at the Mill!
Some incredible footage captured at the site over the past couple of years, including: Spirit Box sessions, EVPs, and flashing lights. It gives a great sense of what the experience will be like as you investigate the buildings.
