Haunted Walks Inc. Has Purchased Conference Aide Tours
January 28th, 2010
Dear Friends,
Haunted Walks Inc. and Conference Aide Tours engaged in strategic discussions over the course of 2009 to discover how the two organizations could better work together to serve the needs of our customers, our employees and our industry. As a result, Haunted Walks Inc. is pleased to announce that it has agreed to purchase Conference Aide Tours and will deliver many of the services the company has offered for almost 25 years.
This is an exciting new opportunity for us. With a combined total of 40 years experience in the tour guide industry, we will be able to develop new and innovative tours, making us a one-stop-shop for sightseeing in Ottawa. On December 31st, 2009, Conference Aide Tours became a division of Haunted Walks Inc. The services Haunted Walks Inc. is now delivering include step-on guiding, sightseeing tours and providing destination representatives for the delivery of single or multi-day itineraries. All other services (itinerary planning, ground transportation and convention services) previously offered by Conference Aide Tours, continue to be provided by DMC Ottawa, which is part of the Intertask Group of Companies.
We look forward to a smooth transition by merging the experiences of both organizations. Our two companies have always shared a strong emphasis on providing excellent tours that explore the nation’s capital. Maintaining this standard of excellence is our highest priority.

Birthday Celebrations and Ghost Investigations
August 4th, 2009
Time flies!
Last year we celebrated the 13th Birthday of the Haunted Walk of Kingston and this summer we get to celebrate 13 years in Ottawa! In Haunted Walk style, instead of marking the occasion with a birthday cake and candles, we will be bringing out “The Wheel of the Damned……..Good Prizes!” On Thursday, August 13th, every customer who comes on a tour in Ottawa will get a chance to spin the wheel for a variety of sweet prizes. Come and celebrate with us!
In other exciting news, in Kingston we have recently finished filming a episode of the hit reality-TV show, “Ghost Hunters.” We can’t say what exactly happened during the investigation at Fort Henry, and even if we could, you would never believe it! Do not miss this episode. The air date for the show has not yet been announced; keep an eye on their website for updates.

Haunted Walk TV is on the air!
September 9th, 2008
With fall comes the new television season, and amidst all of the premieres comes the best one of them all - our new webshow “Haunted Walk TV.” With so many great stories and topics that we don't have the chance to cover during the regular tours, Haunted Walk TV will give us the opportunity to explore these in a different format. Our first episode features some of our tour guides sharing the spooky, strange, and humorous things that have happen on the tours this summer. We hope to have new episodes up regularly and future shows will highlight ghost photography and orbs, skepticism and witnesses, and our favourite time of year – Halloween! If you have any ideas or suggestions for future episode topics, we'd love to hear them. We hope you enjoy!

Launch of our new Website
July 21st, 2008
I am so excited to officially launch this new and improved website. Our old site served us well, but was cobbled together using ancient technology (curse you Frontpage), some bubblegum, and a little bit of black magic. I think this new website will be much more user-friendly and better serve our customers’ needs. It also gives us the opportunity to generate some very cool videos and other content which will start to appear on the site. It is amazing what you can do when you work with the right people, and we were very thrilled with what the folks at Designwiz.ca were able to put together. If you have any comments or suggestions for our new site, please be sure to email us and let us know.

Ghosts of Ottawa: From the Files of the Haunted Walk - New Book!
July 18th, 2008
At long last we have launched our second book. Following closely on the successful launch of our first book Ghosts of Kingston, this collection of the best of 13 years of ghost research in the nation’s capital is a must-have for anyone who enjoys our tours. It was so exciting to not only get the opportunity to give the full story of haunted sites like the Bytown Museum and the old Normal School, but we also had the opportunity to include some places that are too far away for us to feature on the Haunted Walk. The book has received very favourable reviews so far- many have particularly enjoyed the “Personal Accounts” which are first person accounts of some the things that have happened to our very own Ottawa tour guides. Margo’s detailed and very funny account of her research into the famous “Gatineau Ghost Story” has been especially popular with the readers. If you are interested in checking it out for yourself, you can pick up a copy at our gift shop in either city, or you can order through our website by clicking on the “Books” tab above.
